Founded in 1980, the company is dedicated to excellence in client services including: rental of all equipment for your production and post-production needs in most digital, video and data formats (EQUIPMENT RENTAL CATALOG); "film-style" and TV single camcorder packages and multi-camera flypacks (PACKAGES & SYSTEMS). We can also assist you with equipment repairs and maintenance (REPAIRS), sale of used equipment from our meticulously maintained inventory, tape stock and expendables (BVR STORE), delivery and pickup  (DELIVERY FEES) and production services (CREWING).

Located in the heart of the television, film and theater media district in midtown Manhattan, BVR moved on October 1, 2004 to our newly constructed store front facility at 355 West 52nd Street. We are open for business  Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 6:00pm and Saturdays by special arrangement. Availability is whenever the need arises for client convenience ( 24 / 7 / 365 SERVICE).

Clients encompass the international and domestic film, cable, broadcasting, and special events industries with a concentration in the NY-quad state (NY, NJ, CT, PA) production and post-production communities ( BVR IN THE NEWS). Vendors are worldwide leaders in digital, video and film equipment manufacturing and distribution (BUSINESS PARTNERS).

We also designate unique items for value added savings on a monthly basis, and feature new, field-tested products to our diverse inventory (BVR SPECIALS). Regularly scheduled meetings and seminars that advance knowledge of a rapidly changing medium are posted for interested parties (MEETINGS & SEMINARS).

BVR is pleased to be a sustaining member of the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), a member of New York Women in Film and Television (NYWFT), the Media Communications Association International (MCA), [formerly the International Television Association (ITVA)], the Independent Feature Project (IFP) and the New York Production Partnership (NYPP), among others. Bob Zahn, BVR's President, is unique in the industry in that he is a filmmaker himself ("Miracle on the Waterfront" 1997). Mr Zahn is an Associate Member of the American Society of Cinematographers (ASC). He has also served as Vice President, Secretary and as a board member of PERA and is a current member of SMPTE, New York Women in Film and Television (NYWFT), the Audio Engineering Society (AES) and the New York Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Science (NATAS).
