BVR MISSION
"To entertain, to educate, to enlighten."
So says the motto at the original Warner Brothers Studios. Narrative feature filmmaking and original television programming has meant so much to so many for such a long time it has become a very part of the fabric of society: helping us laugh together, teaching us about ourselves and our world through story telling or informational material; making the world a brighter place to live for 30 minutes or a few hours ... and for some for an entire lifetime. Well it still holds true today. At BVR helping clients tell their original narrative stories or innovative television programs and assisting cinematographers in their image creation with digital tools is something we're passionate about.
"Teach, illuminate, inspire," to quote Edward R. Murrow from "Good Night and Good Luck," was recently heard in a speech by the actress Elaine Stritch as she introduced Sheila Nevins, President of HBO Documentary and Family, during the presentation of a Lifetime Achievement Award by the National Television Academy on September 19, 2005. What prescient words for a passionate supporter of documentary films ... and how perfectly fitting to describe documentary filmmakers everywhere who discover truth through revelation and sacrifice years of their lives in the process. We at BVR applaud, salute and support you very much in so many ways -- again with the digital tools of filmmaking.
Who are we? Please think of us as BVR, not Broadcast Video Rentals, Ltd. Why? It’s simple. The world of video, while it still embraces broadcasting, today is really so much more with cable, satellite, web casting, pod casting and the internet. With the latest advancement in digital technology, High Definition and 24p, we are truly on course with the vision that caused me to start BVR in 1980 - - to serve the many talented filmmakers of narrative, documentary, commercial production and television program production with the newest tools for the tool box and newest brushes for the palette. What was once thought of as a purely celluloid medium has evolved today into an electronic digital medium. Recent projects from clients working in many forms-- narrative, documentary, commercial, feature, short subject, news or special event -- are proving every day that filmmaking is the same in digital form as it is in celluloid - - it’s story telling. Content is king.
Here at BVR our mission is clear - - to serve you, our clients, by providing the newest tools of the digital toolbox, the latest brushes for the digital palette. Serve is the key word here because Service itself can be a Craft. And that’s the way we approach it. The equipment provided may be no different from that of others. How it is maintained, tested and prepared
is . Quality has been a BVR hallmark. 26 years in the video equipment service business is a testament to our reliability. And not only rentals, but availability 24 / 7 / 365, technical support, crewing, repairs, delivery, sale of tape stock and expendables and resale of items from our meticulously maintained inventory.
What truly sets us apart is BVR’s commitment to the Art and Craft of Film and Digital -- and our dedication to providing you, our clients, meticulous, personalized and professional Service. If you are already a BVR client,
Thank You for your ongoing support -- we wouldn’t be here without you. And if you’re new to BVR, don’t believe what you read here -- ask others. But do appreciate one thing -- our actions are well represented in the few words of our trade marked slogan. BVR:

To all of you, our respect ... and humble
thanks.
