NOW available for rental --
BVR offers the Evertz ECAS 'E-Cast' camcorder adapter system exclusively in our
NEW MULTI-CAMERA HD FLY PACK. This revolutionary design provides a versatile fiber-optic enabled base station with built-in down conversion for our fleet of Sony HDW-F900/03
camcorders.
There are three components to this remarkable system - the camera adapter, base station and audio breakout panel. The high definition ECAS-1394-HD camcorder adapter can operate in a stand-alone configuration providing HDSDI with embedded audio and timecode, downconverted NTSC/PAL SDI and compositie video plus IEEE1394A fire wire and 2 analog audio inputs for channels 3 and 4. When connected to the ECB-CP-HD base station the signals are transported to the base station over fiber and broken out to HDSDI with embedded audio and timecode, Longitudinal Time Code, downconverted NTSC/PAL SDI, composite and IEEE1394A fire wire with audio and timecode. The base station has inputs for return HDSDI, NTSC/PAL SDI, 4 channels of analog or AES audio, genlock, timecode, and IFB. The fiber also transports VCR start/stop, bi-directional RTS intercom, camera remote control (with menus), and contact closure tallies. The audio breakout panel provides 4 channels in and out of analog or AES audio.
Plus BVR has the camera power option installed in the base station sending up to 125 watts of DC power over a hybrid copper/fiber optic cable to the camera adapter. This DC voltage is converted to battery voltage by the ECA-PS power module, which mounts on the camera adapter in place of a battery. When power is sent down the hybrid cable the camera plus several accessories such as the P+S Technik Pro 35 adapter, Heden zoom motor, Sony HDVF-C750W or Astro picture / waveform monitor and wireless mics could be powered over a distance up to 2km.
